Influencing with NLP
Richard Bandler PhD, an Information Scientist, and John Grinder PhD, a Linguist, developed NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) in the early 1970s. They observed and modelled the behaviour of a number of influential psychotherapists initially and, later, powerful communicators in other sectors.
Bandler and Grinder analysed and explored the patterns in human thinking and built models of how people perform.
Their approach is that excellence can be modelled – anyone can duplicate the behaviour of another person if they model the patterns of that person.
NLP enables us to create new ways of communicating verbally and non-verbally. This is an opportunity to practice skilful communicating and learn how to re-programme our own and others responses to information.
Our one-day workshop provides an introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and how you can use some of the basic techniques of NLP to build rapport and develop your influencing skills.
