Do you like to see people learn and succeed? Have you got what it takes to pass on knowledge and skills to others? If you have then perhaps you should think about getting involved in learning programmes and training. You could soon be identifying and agreeing learning aims with individuals, devising programmes to meet learning needs, or even delivering appropriate training yourself either in the workplace or at training centres. These qualifications in Learning and Development cover all of the knowledge and skills that you need. It is available at different levels depending on your experience.

Training and Development Mini Awards

These qualifications are designed for those who identify and agree learning aims and programmes for individuals and who are developing training sessions for learners. You may be involved with delivering training and development in the workplace or in training establishments. Some of the skills you will learn are: to develop a strategy and plan for learning and development, to identify the learning and development needs of the organisation, and to create a climate that promotes learning.

Assessor & Verifier Awards

If you are involved in assessing learners in the workplace or at a training centre, or you are responsible for supporting and monitoring assessment, then our certificates in assessment and verification can help you gain recognition for your skills and experience. These qualifications have recently been revised to comply with the new national standards issued by the Employment NTO so you can be sure that they are up to date and reflect current practice. There are two assessor awards available at level 3 – the Certificate in Assessing Candidates using a Range of Methods and the Certificate in Assessing Candidates’ Performance through Observation (the latter focuses on observing learners in the workplace). The Level 4 Certificate in Conducting Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Process is for verifiers and all those who ensure that that the quality requirements of external organisations, such as awarding bodies, are met.
